First off, thanks for all the support in answering my questions concerning
gearbox oil(s), and gearbox vent holes. It's in, it runs, it doesn't
leak.....
Now, Carby questions.. During the next month I'm going to rebuild /clean the
carbs. Gas mileage is pretty poor right now, around 13-14 in the city, maybe
18 on the freeway. I know I'm running rich also.
Bentley's is a little sparse on Carb details, and I was wondering what the
standard needle size is. When I order the rebuild kit, I also want to get a
set of needles in standard and +1 over size, as this (correct?) should allow
me to lean out the mixture a bit.
a sort of related question on the dashpots. I have to refill (as distinct from
top-off) mine every week.. this indicates to me a couple of things, worn
needles, shot o-rings, possibly both. is my thinking correct here?
