I would strongly agree with the comments of Ryan Miles and Dick Taylor.
 I have roller rockers on my car (1.65 ratio) and am very happy with
them.  It is a totally reliable street car.  I have Goodparts GP3 cam,
1.65 rockers, ported/polished head with 9.5:1 compression, headers, and
triple strombergs.  I ran everything but the triple strombergs for
about a year and the car was a dream.  VERY quick, very reliable, and
good gas mileage (over 25 on the highway).  The third stromberg added
some power, but I've also had a bit of trouble tuning them to run
right.  They tend to run very rich at idle on my car, to the point
where the engine wants to die.  But others with triples strombergs
don't have this problem.    

However, I wouldn't start with roller rockers as the first mod on a
stock engine.   If I was trying to boost power on the TR6, I would
start with an exhaust header and K&N filters.  Then add a GP3 cam and
boost compression to 9.5.  After that, then add roller rockers.  As
Dick and Ryan said, the roller rockers will boost power by letting more
fuel in and more exhaust out, plus they decrease friction a bit by
reducing side loads on the valves.  I haven't played with the flywheel
yet, but I hear good things about lightening it.  And this is not all
that expensive, just a bit of a pain since you have to pull the gearbox
to get at it!

You should install cam bearings if you put in higher lift cam and
roller rockers, but I've heard some say that this isn't necessary right
awy.  In retrospect, I would run the cam and rockers without bearings
until I noticed an oil pressure drop (which would occur as the cam
begins to run into the block a bit, and probably would not start to
happen for several thousand miles), then strip the engine for the
line-boring process necessary to install cam bearings when the time
comes.

I have never regretted any of the mods.  The car is only more fun to
drive now!  I can finally beat a minivan from 0-60, something that
isn't possible (and is somewhat embarassing!!) in a stock TR6.
