Good suggestions! I'll add them to my list!

My California registration stickers still say MAR and 91, so it's been a
little more than 4 years. I drove the car on a one-day permit about five
or six years ago, only to have it fail a smog check.

Actually, a defective clutch is what started it all.

Since 1991, I have completed the following:

Replaced clutch disc, pressure plate, pilot bearing and
  throw-out bearing.
Replaced transmission (+OD) and rear transmission mount
  Installed OD switch
  Replaced exhaust system
  Replaced soft top
  Replaced accelerator shaft bushings
  Replaced carburetor linkages
Replaced all radiator and heater hoses

Still need to do:

Complete installation of front wiring harness
Complete installation of replacement dash, gauges and switches
  Complete OD wiring harness
Install transmission cover, center console and trim panels
  Install seat foam and upholstery
  Install replacement seat tracks
Replace rubber connectors on fuel lines
Reinstall smog equipment and check vacuum lines
  Replace radiator shroud

And that's only the short list!

No, I don't have a parts car. Here in California, every non-running
TR6 is a potential restoration project. As such they command prices
that are more than my TR6 was ever worth, or will ever be worth, even
after all of the thousands of dollars I have spent on it over the years.

Thanks for your suggestions!
