Somebody posted a message recently about a sure-fire technique for installing a
valve-cover gasket. Does anyone still have that post?

Thanks,

I used the NAPA version when mounting a new alloy sump in 1996...no leaks yet.

List,
Just dropped the oil pan off the block(no thrust washers!) & wondering if
hylomar is the best gasket dressing? It's plenty sticky, but will it keep
oil from passing through? I know I have to make sure the holes around the
pan are nice & flat...just wondering about the gasket dressing? I plan on
using it on the valve cover gasket as well...good idea?
Thanks,
Todd
