Hi Rex,

If I understand this correctly, you have eliminated much of the
redundancy designed into the braking system.  Any catastrophic fluid loss
in the plumbing or brake cylinders (beyond the M/C) would cause the loss
of all brake fluid at that point.  The piston and its seals provide
isolation of the front and rear braking systems as well as triggering the
switch.  It's also a proportioning valve which helps balance the volume
of fluid as needed to provide more effective braking between the front
and rear.  I always thought of the brake warning light invention as a bit
of fluff......I don't need a light to tell me the brake pedal just went
to the floor :-)

........My solution was to remove the piston assembly and thread the bore
of the unit and to fit two allen-headed set screws, one on either side of
the cavity in the middle for the switch.
