Actually, Eric, I'd hesitate to replace any of the internal clutch
components if they are not giving you any trouble. There are many on
this list including myself that have been living in TR6 Clutch Hell
because of poor quality replacement parts available.
This mostly pertains to the clutch release bearing. If Nelson hasn't
reponded to your post, I would recommend going over to his
webpages at the Buckeye Triumphs webpage and start reading the TR6 tech
pages - there is a lot of info there you can digest.

If you're having trouble getting into 1st and reverse, either
you are not getting enough fluid thru the hydraulic system to fully
operate the crossshaft, and/or the pin that holds the shaft to the fork
is broken. You also probably have wear in the linkages between the
clutch pedal and the master cylinder pushrod, and between the slave cyl
pushrod and the crossshaft arm. Get it all fixed, and drive the hell
out of it!

Cheers,

Ryan
