Manifold coatings

Has anyone tried the big two in manifold coatings and compared their
effectiveness? I've been in contact with Jet-Hot and HPC (High Performance
Coatings). They quote roughly $150 and $110 for exhaust and intake
manifolds, respectively. They make a lot of claims about salt corrosian
resistance and heat dissipation,  but I'm wondering if their coatings are
indeed just cosmetic and don't last.
