Walt---Just so you don't misunderstand my message on the timing
bit...While this timing may be OK at idle, this is not to imply that the
misfire/stumble is not ignition related. It may still be in the ignition
circuit. (Check out my reply to Jay's "misfire" sent out on 6/16)
If one or both carbs are so rich as to cause a misfire, it would surely
show up as black spark plugs on several cylinders. This would be the
quickest and least disturbing check to make, and tell you which carb to
go to.
