Walt---Just so you don't misunderstand my message on the timing bit...While this timing may be OK at idle, this is not to imply that the misfire/stumble is not ignition related. It may still be in the ignition circuit. (Check out my reply to Jay's "misfire" sent out on 6/16) If one or both carbs are so rich as to cause a misfire, it would surely show up as black spark plugs on several cylinders. This would be the quickest and least disturbing check to make, and tell you which carb to go to. Dick T. |
