I think in addition to the 5 screws, tach & speedo, you need to remove the
following:
- wiper/washer switch
- hazard switch
- glove box door check strap screws
This allows the dash to be lowered into what's called the 'service
position'. Now you need to remove the following:
- 3 bulbs from the warning lights (brake, belt, egr)
- wipe/wash & hazard indicator bulbs
- 3 pairs of connectors & from the volt, temp & fuel gauges
- oil line from the oil pressure gauge
- bulb holders from all 4 small gauges
- all connectors from the rheostat
No your wood dash should be free of the car. You'll need to transfer all the
gauges, warning lamp holders, rheostat, etc. to your new dash.
Just a tad more than 5 screws huh? :-)
