Howdy folks,
80 degrees and sunny down here in Florida. I'm getting ready for a nice
afternoon top down cruise. Quick question. I am trying to remove the
cluth cross shaft , fork and tapered pin from a nice used 4 speed
transmission that is on the work bench. The tapered pin was well
lubricated and when I tried to unscrew it (after removing the securing
wire) the darn thing broke off. The bottom part of the pin unscewed and
came out. But part of the taper broke off and is stuck up in the hole.
I can wiggle the fork on the shaft but I cannot get it free. Any ideas
on how to remove the rest of the pin so I can get the fork off? Tranny #
CC116962 late model 4 speed, no overdrive (darn).
Thanks
