I bought a '73 last summer which had the one piece conversion and Pirelli 4000 205/70 tires ond the standard steel wheels. There was hardly 1/8ths inch clearance between the fat part of the tire and the upper shock mounting point of the conversion plate. Some evidence of scuffing on the inner wall of the tire, so I switched off to the standard lever shocks. The wide tires give great handling and I prefer the softer ride. Jim Woollcott |
