The 215s may be a little too wide for the stock 5.5" rim. If you
are running a "minilite replica" (eg Panasports) which are 6"-7"
wide, the additional offset of these rims will make the front
215 tire protrude beyond the fender. 205/70x15 are a good choice
for the easy driver. BFG Touring T/As come in this size, are
inexpensive, long wearing and look good on the car (a little wider than
the original spec tires, suiting the aggressive appeal of the TR6).
Their high-profile (70%) preclude them from enthusiastic driving
at the autocross track, so these tires will not be desired by the
racer-set.
