Jorge,
I always understood that there were some early TR6's that did not have the
black out on the back valance.  I have read that one rule of thumb that is
used to determine if this is authentic is that if the valance isn't painted,
then the rockers panels will not have the black undercoating on them.  I
myself can not verify any of this, but it makes sense to me.  Does your car
have black on the rockers?
