Got the passenger seat/guides, carpeting, consol/radio bracket all out in
about 1 hour this afternoon (yes everything is in little baggies with
notes), so all I need to do is find a weekend we're all free and get with
some friends and replace the clutch, throw-out bearing and pressure plate.
Throwout bearing has been making a noise for the last 3K miles and the car
is getting harder to shift into the lower gears so I decided
to tackle the job now before the weather really gets nice (clutch master and
slave cylinders were replaced last summer). The cardboard transmission
hump seems so be in good shape but do most of you recommend replacing with a
resin after market item?
Anything else I should look at while I'm this far into the project? I hate
to replace the clutch and then find out I should have checked out
something else while I'm in there.
