Hi,

I've always been told that the main reason behind the soft pedal feel while
using silicone fluid (DOT 5) is that once air bubbles form within the fluid,
they have a tendency to remain suspended within the fluid. That is why it is
very important not to shake the container prior to adding it to your system.
Whenever I buy a bottle, I always grab one from the rear of the shelf because
I figure it hasn't been disturbed in a while.

I would beg to differ on the Silicone. I changed over from the traditional
fluid last year. I did not notice a difference in the pedal. I am very
 satisfied with the Silicone.
