Mr. Brabcova, an engineer from Plzen (famous for its beer) bought the rights to use the RAF name in 1994 and started to develop a classic lookin' two-seater which was revealed at the IAA '95 show at Frankfurt.
This car was aimed at the Western market (Switzerland, Germany, UK etc.) so the original Skoda donor was swiftly dismissed.
The proportions suggest timeless appearance: long, sweeping fenders a la Morgan +4, wire-wheels etc.
Basic 1.8-liter Zetec engine was taken from a Ford Escort, but there were plans for a more powerful 2.0 Cosworth unit as well.
Although the company thought about making 50-100 cars per year there were only three completed. According to information submitted by Lawrence W Sufryn, owner of the 3rd RAF in February, 2005: "As far as my information goes, they actually finished 2 cars. One was the prototype with the 2-litre Cosworth engine which remained in the Czech Republic, the second one got drowned in the terrible floods of Prague in 2002. Out of parts remaining from the factory a third car was put together and 99% finished"

RAF was transformed to Gordon cars but the new company also went down soon.
