Rivolta Grifo back Renzo Rivolta was a wealthy industrialist from Milano whose aim was to beat every other marques with his own 2+2. The result was the Rivolta, which was designed by Giorgio Giugiaro then at Bertone. The car was current between 1962 and 1970. This car had a Corvette engine, the hydraulic-lifter 300 bhp unit matched to an oddball two-speed GM automatic. The platform was the work of Giotto Bizzarrini.
It was expensively trimmed inside with real wood on the dash, fine Italian hides on the thick, broad seats, and lots of chrome detailing.

The Grifo was introduced in 1965 on a shortened Rivolta platform. The shape was again the work of Mr. Giugiaro who joked at the show that he could design it a little better now.
It had a 365bhp engine, capable of 260 kmh (161 mph). The lightweight version of this model was known as the Bizzarrini Strada.
