McCoy
Clan Crusader lookalike but with front-mounted Mini or Metro power.
Built as an all GRP monocoque, a method of construction which seems to
provide considerable strength.
The kit is quite comprehensive, with windows, door catches, locks and so
on all included.
A rather nice touch is black anodised alloy window frames. Radiator is from
Metro/Allegro, and the fuel tank and exhaust are Mini estate or van.
Also the McIVoy estate version (the estate's styling just screams I AM A KIT
CAR) and, from 1992 for a few years, a Sierra-based Triumph TR2 replica.
The McCoy has managed to last so long in production because the manufacturers
rely on general GRP work.
