E.B. was an abbrevation for Edwards Brothers of Stroke on Trent.
The earliest shell the E.B. 50 and its deluxe version the E.B. 60 were one of
the top sellers of the Fifties around 2,300 sold. Their later offering the
Debonair is surely the finest of all the Fifties specials produced with two
outside companies offering precision chassis to suit, including LMB by
engineer Les Ballamy. Of the 50 built 7 are known to the HSR although only 4
having been traced succesffully. The Edwards later went on to design and
mould the Morgan 4+4 for Peter Morgan.
