The 3-door hatch and 4-door saloon debuted in Frankfurt, while the new coupe will be launched in Tokyo.
I don't know what was in their mind when they desinged those bug-eyed headlights but they didn't help to improve the car's image. Honda claims the new halogen lights produce 45 % more light and throw a 38 per cent wider beam than those on current Civics.
Engines: 1.5 liter SOCH VTEC and two versions of the 1.4i. The meaner 1.4i and the weaker 1.5i (VTEC-E) has a 66 kW (90 bhp) max. power.
To standardise frontal impact performance, the hatch, saloon and coupe use the same front substructure and body panels from the A-pillar forwards.
The overall length jumps by 105 mm to 4180 mm while the saloon gains 55 mm at 4450 mm.
