In some of my preceding articles, I have said that I am restoring my Morgan on a "shoe string" budget. I have the time to work over the original parts but not enough money to go out and purchase a lot of new parts. If I do manage to purchase a new part, I keep the old one to be rebuilt later or used as a pattern to check the new part against. You will need all the catalogues you can find. Along with catalogues, it is imperative to have price lists (even if not up to date) from the vendors. Armed with these documents, I can decide between the parts I NEED and the one I want. Finally I can make up an order, usually between $50 and $100 per order.

In talking to several of the club members, we feel that the club(s) should support its members in trying to help them get the best parts at the best prices. There needs to be a good list of suppliers and a cross-reference list of parts to other cars and suppliers. To this end, I will volunteer to act as the repository for a cross-reference list. I hope readers will send me any information on parts cross-references they turn up.

It is not my intention to offend any of the Morgan parts suppliers with this information, but to help the Morgan owners get the most for their buck. The vendors do a great job keeping us in "hard to get" parts. However, like most things, sometimes it pays to shop around.

Not all of the following information has been verified and represents about 300 hours of research by me. It is presented here as a starting point. The following lists contain companies that can supply various parts for the cars and a parts cross-reference. Since my Morgan is a 65 4/4 this information leans heavily in that direction. But I will add any other years information to the list as I receive it.
