Subject: [Bmcu] Brrr - too cold for a tool sale?
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Errors-To: bmcu-bounces@autox.team.net

Karen and I drove to Phoenix for Thanksgiving. Driving allowed me to
bring back a bunch
of my late brother in law's tools. He ran a European repair shop in
Cave Creek for many
years, focusing mainly on Mercedes, Porshes, Jag sedans and such. My
sister was able to
get a lot of his tools sold, but not all.

I was thinking of having a garage sale this weekend, but it is quite
cold out in the garage
and I don't know if I'll get everything sorted and inventoried by then.
The sale may be
on the 14th and 15th. I did get a nice Snap ON pittman arm puller on
KSL classifieds,
but that's about it for the moment.

Stay tuned, I'll let folks know what I end up deciding. Anyone need a
Klaan Tools KL 0021
Mercedes spring compressor set? I'd sell it for a mere $500, less than
half of what it cost
new. Wow.

mjb.

Subject: [Bmcu] wire wheel balance kit
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Errors-To: bmcu-bounces@autox.team.net

I know I said I had sent the final message on this subject, but here is
my final final one.

The subject is a nifty kit from the UK for balancing wire wheels on
conventional tire shop spin balancing machines.

I organized a consortium to buy one of these, which consists of an
inboard cone (universal) and two outboard plates (one for each of the
common hub sizes) for the balancer's spindle. There are two memberships
left in this enterprise, at $50 for lifetime borrowing privileges.

This would make a great Christmas gift to you from either you or your
co-pilot, if you own a Britmobile with wire wheels.

Even if you don't opt for this, the kit rental window is now open, at
$20/day.

Cheers,
     --Gary

Subject: [Bmcu] Porch Sale this weekend!
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Errors-To: bmcu-bounces@autox.team.net

It will still be cold, and the garage is a mess. So I think I will set
up some tables on the
front porch, keep a hot pot of coffee handy, and lay out some amazing
treasures you just
can't live without! Some of my late brother in law's tools, some
various odds and ends,
some of the random NOS Lucas bits I have laying around.

Not being a morning person, I'll open up, so to speak, this Saturday,
Dec. 14th at noon.
Address is 739 South Park Street ( 540 East ) halfway between Liberty
Park and Trolley
Square. I no longer have the Fat Chance Garage merchant account set up,
so I can't
process credit cards. But there are some ATMs a couple blocks away ;-)

I'll try to get some rough idea of what I have in an email friday, but
don't hold your breath.

mjb, shameless self promoter.

Schlepping stuff from the garage and the basement into the living room,
preparing for
tomorrow's porch sale. Noon to, oh, 4 or 5 at 739 South Park Street (
540 East )

I know it isn't British but no doubt many of you out there will be dying
to get this
great offer on a Klaan tools KL 0021 spring compressor set. Fits a wide
variety of
Mercedes-Benz cars. New the set goes for $1200 US dollars, I'm willing
to let it
go this weekend for a mere $500 cash! Such a deal!

Okay, maybe I won't even drag out that rather specialized tool, but
hopefully a few
folks can find a deal or two on something they may actually use in their
lifetime.

See you Saturday!

mjb.
