The only thing different, between this one and a =E2=80=9968 is that =
this one doesn=E2=80=99t have a dipstick hole & dipstick, for checking =
oil level.  So, just like on the =E2=80=9977 thru =E2=80=9980 models =
that came with this transmission, you have to put it on a lift, or at =
least get it up on jack stands, to check transmission oil level.  Not a =
big deal, really.

needed.

This brought back memories.  I got the LH OD for my MG at Carlisle for =
$225.   Of course that was 30+ years ago !  Pulled it apart and put in =
new bearings and a shift fork.  I did find one bad synchronizer which is =
probably why the guy said he didn't know anything about it.  One good =
thing is the actual transmission itself is the same as a non-syncro with =
the exception of the mainshaft.   So if anything is messed up in there, =
the regular 4 speeds are dime a dozen. I would go through it before =
going to the trouble of installation but that's me. =20
