Hi Guys,

Got a question for you wter pump guru's out there. Seems to me I
remember reading somewhere that the coolant additives in cars also
provide lurication for the water pump and helps to prevent leaks in the
seals. Seeing as we're not supposed to run additives to the coolant in
our vintage racers (except water wetter) what do you all do to keep the
water pumps going. I ask because I have the same water pump on my street
car that came with it in '68 and it still doesn't leak and my racer pump
developed a leak last season in just three years.

Tom
