Jaguar engine specs

Anyone on the list familiar with the spec's on older Jag engines?
I need to find some cam follower cups (tappets) for an old, 
DOHC race car engine. I've been told that a Jag 'tappet' might work. 
Anyone know the o.d. and approximate height of the DOHC Jag tappets?
