In the NADA book, Mille Miglia Race: the Postwar
Years, there is a wonderful picture of a chopped
and sectioned 2CV which won its class in the '55
event. The larger-engined 2CV series cars were
capable of truely frightening average speeds. I
know I scared myself many times.
