I think we should all be grateful that we have a gentleman in our midst.

Jim - your points on this difficult subject were valid - as were points
made by opposing views - it is a difficlut, controversial subject. Pls
don't stop writing just because you felt strongly on a subject and may
have, presumably inadvertantly, offended someone in making your point. 

For me at least your apology was more than, much more than, sufficient.
