Footnote to Uncle Jack's message:

Here! Here!

Burt Levy didn't lie. This is a wonderful event. The track is a natural
occurrence...free flowing and always leaving you with the feeling that =
you
might do better the next lap. Turn #2 is the mythical siren's call that
beckons you to succumb to the 'red mist'.....

I plan to proudly fly my Canadian Flag at races henceforth, and to wear =
my
VARAC shirt at all future events in honor of Mosport and Canadian =
Friends.

Thanks VARAC and Mike Rosen.

Special thanks to Kent Howard, who uncovered a broken carb linkage, =
during
touring, and to Jack Drews who quickly fixed it =BD hour before the
feature....without them, I would have been sidelined on the track or in =
the
paddock.

My concern to a fellow competitor who lost his steering wheel at 100+ =
mph.
No injury and hopefully the damage was contained to the body work. Last
report was that there may have been a manufacturing defect with the =
wheel.
Reality check. Horrifying to watch this unfold in your mirrors. =20

Last and the least important, three Iowans brought home chunks of =
Canadian
wood. More to Iowa than watching the corn grow, dontcha know.=20

Best Regards,

Alexander Racing

I always figured that Cannucks had to be very hardy folks, what with
the
        winter weather and all.

I also knew that Cannucks knew how to have a lot of fun, based on
the
        encounters I've had with them.

What I did not know before this weekend was the Cannucks' incredible
        capacity for extending hospitality!

The U.S. contingent that went to Mosport last weekend were blown
away by
the friendliness, the helpfulness, and the genuine welcome we
received.=20
We were further impressed with VARAC and its ability to treat
drivers
with respect, and with the VARAC drivers who drove in a manner to
        deserve it.

And almost as a bonus, the area is beautiful, the track is awesome,
the
        racing sane but intense.

I almost hope nobody reads this -- I wouldn't want the event to be
so
oversubscribed next year that I couldn't get in --

        Thanks again, Mosport folks!!!!!
