Spline data needed

Can anyone out there help?

I am about to put a new box in the car, and I am after some data on the
spline. The catalogue describes it as follows

        A 40 x 36 DIN 5482

Does anybody have any more information. It is clearly OD 40 ID 36, but I
need more info to cut the male spline
