As I recall, the story in Grassroots Motorsports has it that they worked so many non-stop days and nights building the thing they got all swimmy-headed, as if they were hallucinating. Thus peyote. Didn't know they knew about peyote in the Fifties -- another myth shattered... Bart Brown |
