Can someone explain why the producers never allow the in car camera to deliver 
video for more 
than 5 seconds at a time..it drives me bonkers.

I know it's technically possible because a couple of months ago, I watched an 
in-car video 
broadcast from (I think) Francorchamps of Schumacher driving a couple of 
qualifying laps.  
Very thrilling, definitely pumped up my I-can-do-that-too delusions.
