Fitting the J-type to a pre-'73 frame takes a little McGuiver-ing.=C2=A0 I =

y apart.=C2=A0 I did it, the transmission worked for about a year then stop=
ped going into second gear.=C2=A0 A lot more to the story, but ultimately d=
ecided I had found that my level of incompetence with auto repair and will =
farm out transmissions in the future (you can still save about half the cos=
t by pulling and installing yourself).=20
