[TR] Front end "play'

Hey all ~

I've rebuilt the front suspension and steering on my TR3A
including the steering box and all steering components. I have
checked fit and function as best as I can but, with the front
end on jackstands and grabbing the wheel at the 3 and 9
o'clock positions , I note that there is about 1/4 to 3/8" "play."
Is this normal? Should there be zero play in the front wheels?
