Last week we were discussing a low mileage TR6 that was being auctioned. Well
today at the Auburn - Cord - Duesenberg Museum here in Auburn we were working
on a 1976 Cadillac that was donated to the museum's capital fund. This very
striking Caddy has a plate on the dash that states "This 1976 Fleetwood
Eldorado is one of the last 200 identical US production convertibles". All
200 were white with white leather and white top and looks like the "Boss Hogg"
car from the Dukes of Hazard. The plate states "last" for at the time it was
thought by all manufacturers (GM and Triumph included) that convertibles were
going to be legislated out of existence in the US.

Original owner sold it at the Scottsdale, Arizona auction in 1980. New owner
trailered it home to a heated storage for six years. He then donated it to
the Auburn - Cord - Duesenberg Museum where it has been in temperature
controlled storage.

Total documented mileage is 32.8

The venerable Caddy started on about the fifth revolution!

It is to be auctioned this September in Auburn. After paying a huge sum for
this "Boss Hogg" special, just what does a person do with it? Probably put it
back in a temperature controlled storage for future generations to look at and
say WOW, so that's what Grandpa was always talking about.
