I believe so, but I wouldn't call it desirable.  The adjustable wheel only
adjusts from closer than the stock location, to way closer than the stock
location ... and the stock location is already kind of close IMO.

Your 60 TR3A should already have the 2-part column (assuming that's what you're
talking about).  But it's not for safety and not designed to collapse in a
collision.  The change was primarily to make the cars easier to assemble (but
makes it easier to service the steering column as well).
