Dave, I don't want a car like that to look stock.  I'd want SERIOUS  
wheels and tires.

I'm going the other way with my new autocross car.  I will be sticking  
to the stock street-tire class with the Miata.

As for the TR4, I'll keep wire wheels and skinny tires.  Neither of  
these cars has too much power for me to handle.  And both of them have  
more than enough for me to get arrested.  I've been to 100 MPH in the  
TR4 under safe conditions, and the Miata is certainly good for that.

Interesting note on the Miata.  I expected to have a lazy fifth gear,  
but on the highway it revs almost as high as my non-overdrive TR4.   
Since it goes a good deal faster in first than the TR4, it seems that  
close-ratio was their goal.  Looks like low-rev freeway cruising  
remains the forte of the Saturn in my household.  No, I am not  
considering overdrive for the TR4. :-)
