Helping out a friend with a Miata today, I came across this amusing (to me anyway) tech note on Mazda Miatas (MX-5 outside the US) : Seems that TR6 are not the only cars with thrust washer problems ! It's actually kind of interesting too, since it blames the Miata TW failure on having too-large clearances as installed by the factory.
