Are TR dust caps that much more difficult to remove than the old US ones?
Way back in the stone age under my shade tree, it was SOP to lay a chisel
across the top of the cap and tap it with a small hammer, roll the wheel and
tap
the other side, and the dust cap would work it's way out. Yeah, they were
bent when we finished, but the hubcap covers the bent dust cap.
