Nearly 10 years ago, my son gave me a personalized plate for my 
Spitfire.  Rather than having anything to do with the car, the tag 
simply contains my initials plus the Roman numeral 4 (yes, I am the 
4th).  So that came out:

MTG IV

You have no idea how many people have seen that plate and commented 
on my nice MG!  Now that my son is grown and living elsewhere, I 
think it is time to lose that (expensive) plate.
