| Adam: Go to any local auto trim shop and ask for some 1/8" landau padding, the stuff that was used under padded vinyl tops when such things were popular several years ago. It comes in a hard/sandable version (which you don't want), and a slightly spongy type that is more firm than ordinary foam rubber.
