>I am having a misfiring problem with my 74. It will run well when cold,
but as
it warms up it will start to misfire. I have checked the points they are
new and
gapped @ .015, condenser is new ( have a spare have changed it and tried
that
one same problem ) Plugs are new champions N9Y no one plug show signs of
fouling. New plug wires, new distributor cap, have cleaned under the cap
the
distributor and the wires under the cap look in good shape. Timing is set @
4
degrees ATDC. The coil is what came with the car but puts out a nice
healthy
spark! The misfire seem to be random across all the cylinders have racked
my
brain trying to figure what is causing the problem. I am sure it is
something
simple but I cannot seem to find it.

Under what conditions does it misfire? If it misfires predominately under
acceleration? If so, check the plug gap. TR6's like to see .025 gap.
Many plugs come factory gaped to .035 or greater. I resolved a misfire
problem in my TR6 by regapping my plugs.

Good luck

Dave
