WORDS OF WISDOM
Don't assume a differential unit is mechanically intact unless two things
are
inspected
1.Check the ring and pinion gears for chipped or broken teeth
2.REMOVE THE DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER AND CHECK THOSE SIDE BEARINGS TO
MAKE SURE THEY
ARE TIGHT (HAVE NOT SPUN)
The purchase of any differential without knowing the status of these
points
provides a false sense of security. Everything else inside can bec replaced
inexpensively.
