True, but does the oxygen come from the free oxygen in the air or does it
take oxygen from the water releasing free hydrogen?  On the other hand,
condensed water may take up some of the free nitrogen creating a mild
solution of nitric acid promoting an electolytic process...

But the tire being a sealed system will limit the process due to limited
resources. 

Another thing, what is that lubricant they use on the tire bead when
mounting tires?  Soapy water?  Let's slop a bunch of soapy water into the
tire and then fill it with dry nitrogen.
