I believe it is somewhat glossier than flat, but not much.  It does stand up
to grease quite well, but only after it's been cured by heat.  It's almost
like powder coat, the paint is quite fragile until it's been cured.  I've
actually have done a fair amount of my front suspension in it, cured in the
kitchen oven (400F for an hour or whenever I remember to turn the oven off).
Still looks good (under all the dirt) after 7 or 8 years of daily driving.
