TR6 thrust washer, bearing question

I have just been looking at the crankshaft of my '74 TR6 for the first time,
and now I have some questions for you experts.

The end float seems to be okay, but I read in the Bently manual that failure of
the middle two main bearings could lead to slight vibration in the engine.
Well, I've been getting slight vibration and can't seem to eliminate it with
the things I have tried. From what I can tell, all of the main bearings look
fine. There is no scoring of the bearing surfaces or the crankshaft. It feels
like glass to my fingertip no matter which way I rub it. However, if I run the
edge of my fingernail across the width of the lower bearings I can feel just
the slightest indication of roughness. I'm inclined to go with the feel on my
skin and say that everything is fine. I know, I know; some of you are going to
say that as long as I am into it, I should replace all the bearings just to be
safe. But I've just finished a long job on my daily driver (Spit), and I need
to be getting to some "honey dos" soon or I'm in trouble! Am I making a
mistake?

Another thing. I replaced the thrust washers with new ones. My cheapo caliper
says that the old ones and the new ones are identical in width (.093 in)
despite the fact that the old ones have none of the gold colored (brass?)
plating that the new ones have. There is a little indication of scuffing on
the old ones, but very little wear at all. The oil grooves show up nicely.
So, did these washers have no plating on them from the start? Or, is it
possible that all of the plating could be worn off (even in the grooves), and
that these were oversized to start with? I have attached a picture of the old
thrust washers. From the photo they appear to be gold, but believe me, they
are just silver colored. The writing on the old ones is as follows:

GS2021S STD DN 149551

What do you think?

Thanks for any help you can send my way.

Tim
