Ron,
Why are you going to fill the sills with sand?

Subject: Spraying paint inside sills

Hi everyone,

I'm at the stage just before sandblasting the body tub of my TR6. All
sheetmetal work is finally done (except the front turn signal light
locations) and I want to seal the insides of the sills/B-posts/rear
valance before filling said locations with sand.

I painted POR-15 onto the insides of these places but the welding
process of the end caps etc has undoubtedly burned some of that paint
away. I don't want to just use Tremclad, I want to shoot in more
POR-15.

I tried a $15 engine cleaning air gun but the paint was too thick and
wouldn't draw into the gun and spray. I'm about to run out to Princess
Auto here in Ottawa to buy an undercoating air gun and give that a try
but thought I'd ask the communal knowledge first. What have people had
success with?
