I saw Richard Bull's TR5 race car doing 1' 31" laps around Goodwood 
(with a passenger!) at a Track Day and the car looked so, so fast along 
the Lavant Straight

When he came in I asked him what he was revving to and he just leant in 
and pressed the telltale on the Stack tacho. It pinged straight off the 
scale at 8000+ rpm

So Classic Racecraft can build an engine that'll pull 8K....
