  beads

List,

I think I need to remove the lock cylinder prior to having the trunck
handle chrome plated, but I can't figure out how it comes apart. Haynes
and Bentley don't discuss it.

Anyone done this before? I expect a lock smith could do it, but it seems
I should be able to do this myself. FWIW, I have the key and the lock
works.

Also, while I have your attention, my TR250 came new with the chrome
fender beads painted same as the body color. I have noticed that TR4's
and big Healeys were chrome, and now I see the TR5 on the Rimmer catalog
has them in chrome. I've also seen at least one TR250 restoration in
chrome.

Does anyone know if they were all painted or were some in chrome? Were
TR5's chrome as manufactured?

Thanks,

Don Malling
