Naturally, I shut it down real quick once I saw the gas coming out. Not
much pressure there, was easy to plug it up with my finger.
I assume that this is a symptom of a stuck needle valve? Just take it
apart, clean and reassemble? Or just wait until it gets above 35 degrees?

The first thing to try is a quick wrap on the float bowl with a screwdriver
handle. Stuck floats are common on cars that sit idle for a while.
If that doesn't work, take the top off and free up the valve and look for
debris.
If you have ice in there, then you have a more wide spread problem of water
in the fuel.
