Early TR4 - CT3898L has 'B' on the frame crossmember...Early TR4A also has 'B' on frame crossmember. Your description sounds correct for an early TR4 frame, a long bubble hood is incorrect for the car. Can't help with a confirmation on the rest of the details without really digging into the pile on top of the car! Good Luck!
